FAQs
What’s the schedule for the Business Blasters Investment Summit & Expo?
The Expo is a full day event from 10 AM to 5 PM. The visitors can come at any time. Top 126 teams have their booths where they will discuss their business and growth plans with visitors.
Who are the participating students? How were they selected?
The participants are 11th/12th grade students of Delhi Government schools. The Business Blasters program is a part of their curriculum. Each student received ₹ 2,000 as seed money from the government and formed teams. 51,000 teams conceived and pursued their business ideas for a few weeks. After two rounds, 126 teams have been selected based on investment-worthiness by a panel of investors and entrepreneurs.
How can I know more about the participating teams and their businesses?
Please visit the Meet the Teams page on this website.
I like a particular business idea on the website and would like to support it. What next?
If you’d like to support a business idea, you have several options. Donate to the team, submit letters of intent to invest or offer business relationships or offer mentorship. Before investing, it is important that you visit their booth at the expo and discuss in detail. There is a special area created for student entrepreneurs to discuss with investors. In addition, do visit the Support Incubation page to see how you can support the incubation effort.
These are school students - do they have their companies registered?
With support from the Business Blasters incubator, some teams have already started the process of registering their entities that are amenable to investment. Some of them are underage and are doing it with their guardians. Many of the remaining teams are likely to start the process of registration once they get firmer footing in their businesses. We are presently collecting only Letters of Intent (LoI) for investment. Actual investment deals will happen only after company formation. Meanwhile, enthusiastic supporters are welcome to give grants to their favourite businesses and unblock their growth.
These students will move on to 12th or college. Will they continue working on the business?
The students in these teams seem to be very committed to continue with their business while completing school and studying in college. The Business Blasters Incubation Cell will provide support to reduce their business risk. However, in some cases, it is a possibility that despite all support, some students may decide to pull out of their business. Investors must include this in their risk assessment.
I want to promote student entrepreneurship. What are the different ways in which I can support the teams?
You can support the Business Blasters program or the Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum or take initiative to replicate this program elsewhere on a small or large scale. To contribute to Business Blasters, see options on the “Support Incubation” page. To support an individual team, please explore support options available on the team’s profile page.
I love the idea of Business Blasters. How can I contribute to the program?
On the “Support Incubation” page, you can donate to the Business Blasters Incubation effort, join the Business Blasters mentor network, or let us know other ways in which you’d like to contribute.
